Light Legacy
At Kvennaskólinn, fabrics—discarded project remnants and leftovers—are discovered. During a month-long residency, a textile piece is selected each day based on the day's light, with the gesture of undoing serving as a central theme. This act of unraveling reflects patience and stillness, qualities that the environment naturally inspires. It also offers a new way to understand a textile, not through creation, but through the process of undoing.
Simultaneously, a budding investigation of the local flowers is conducted, focusing on deconstruction, careful observation, and attention to detail. The resulting drawings will be shared as open-source material, available for anyone to use.
